TrueView Direct autoclavable arthroscopes
Making arthroscopy seamless with the new digital integrated camera system from Olympus.
 |
A breakthrough innovation in arthroscopy, the TrueView Direct autoclavable camera
system features single-hand control of all user interfaces. The scope
holding hand has full control over image rotation by +/- 180o, all three
remote switches and even both stopcocks. This makes arthroscopy seamless as the
other hand can now remain on the shaver or ablation device throughout the entire
case. |
|
The innovative design features integrated illumination fibers improving ergonomics
substantially. By eliminating the cumbersome light cord there is no longer interference
with the surgeons’ motion, no accidental disconnection during the case, and reduced
possibility of accidental burning of surgical drapes during set-up or disassembly. |
 |
|
|
|
The direct camera connection facilitates quick scope exchange. This is advantageous
when, for example, a 70o telescope is preferred to a 30o for
observing posterior joint compartments. |
 |
|
|
 |
The direct camera connection reduces the number of optical interfaces, which are
associated with color aberrations and transmission losses, thus brightness and image
quality are significantly improved.
In addition, the telescope-camera interface
provides a firm connection and prevents fogging. A non-fogging system eliminates
stressful troubleshooting, and ultimately reduces OR times and costs. |
By redeveloping the complete camera system a team of international engineers paid
attention to all ergonomic and functional aspects making the TrueView Direct a breakthrough
innovation for arthroscopy.
